About me

I am an Experience Designer currently based in Singapore. Half Malay, half Pathan, I like to bring the best of both worlds into my designs: thoughtful in details, yet always functional and practical.

I've been designing since 2015. Agency work has taken me through Caltex, Mediacorp and Colgate-Palmolive, on everything from editorial platforms to public sector digital services. Most of it has been platform work: designing inside a CMS authoring model rather than around it.

I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Communication Design from the Glasgow School of Art (Singapore) in 2015. Since then I've worked across design, front-end and content platforms, which is where the balanced view of a project comes from.

Judging

World Climbing Level 3 Judge and Jury President

I've been climbing since I was 13 and officiating since 2009. Close to 50 competitions across ten countries and three continents, including the World Games, Asian Games, SEA Games and World Championships. As Jury President I'm responsible for the result and the sole arbiter of appeals.

It's live systems design without a safety net. Fixed rules, hundreds of athletes, decisions made in seconds, no option to ship a fix tomorrow. It has made me considerably more careful about edge cases.
